I recieved this today and I'm forwarding it on on to my fellow Waccovites in hopes that someone will step forward. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission are the people who decide how our tax dollars get spent. Sonoma County still has openings for 2 minority (Asian or African American) representatives.

MTC is currently extending its deadline to recruit for vacancies on all three of its advisory committees: the MTC Advisory Council, the Elderly and Disabled Advisory Committee and the Minority Citizens Advisory Committee. The new application deadline is November 10. Each committee makes recommendations on a range of transportation issues and projects being considered by the Commission - from the regional transportation plan to state and federal legislation to general planning principles for the Bay Area. Advisory committee members attend monthly meetings during regular business hours and may receive a stipend. For more information on MTC's advisory committees, go to:

communities)
Sonoma County - Two representatives from either the African-American, Asian or Hispanic/Latino communities (each representing two separate
communities)

Elderly and Disabled Advisory Committee:

San Francisco - One representative of the disabled community Santa Clara County - One representative of the disabled community; one representative of the senior community

Advisory Council:

One individual to represent engineering interests
