VOLUNTEERS needed by NBCRP

The North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement team, https://www.northbaycanine.org really needs help in many ways. Please review our web site and if you think you can help us, please FILL out the VOLUNTEER FORM where you are given a choice of how to submit the form. Upon receipt a volunteer will IMMEDIATELY contact you to answer any questions you may have, and/or to set up a meeting.

The BASIC tasks we are looking for are:

1. FOSTER CARE HOMES for the canines. We cannot rescue an animal until we have a FOSTER CARE HOME to place them with. And, right now, with so many economic problems, the animals being abandoned to shelters are increasing dramatically. Many wind up being PUT TO SLEEP within 3 or 4 days of arrival at the shelter. SO if you can possibly help us by FOSTERING a canine, you will be keeping that animal off the kill list and given a chance at living the balance of their lives in a happy, loving home. The rewards of FOSTERING are HUGE.

I have fostered several dogs and such a joy to see the frightened, timid or sometimes, distant dog change and blossom into a happy, loving and joyful pet. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND FOSTERING... this is particularly helpful to some of you, like myself, who are on short funds and do not feel we can adopt. By FOSTERING a canine, the rescue group pays for all medical needs of the animal.

2. We need your computer talents in following areas:
(a) Volunteer COORDINATOR...as we are growing, this is a vital task to keep track of who is doing what, etc.

(b) Answering Phones and emails. This is also an area that is growing. We try to reply to these inquiries promtly, as in many cases, it can mean the difference between whether a dog will live, or die in a few days.
(c) Composing and distributing of flyers, brochures, newsletters, cards, countertop flyers, mailings, and much more.
(d) FUND RAISERS.
(e) Attend Dog Adoption days at various PET STORES, etc.
(f) Many other areas which we can go into later.
(g) Transporters

PLEASE, if you can help us with at least 3 to 4 hours weekly, from your own home, and working at your convenience, we can save more dogs and bring joy to new GUARDIANS of the pets.

PLEASE, cross post this posting. We can use FOSTER CARE HOMES in all surrounding Counties. And, if you are a computer user, again, it does not matter where you live. We have one very good volunteer who resides in Idaho. She works from her home and at any hour that is good for her. And we have benefitted greatly from her help.
