    aspartame + MSG = neuropoison

STUDY: JUNK FOOD ADDITIVES STOP NERVE CELL GROWTH
Mixing the common additives aspartame an artificial sweetener and monosodium glutamate (MSG) causes nerve cell damage, say researchers at the University of Liverpool. The results from a two-year study were recently published in the journal Toxicological Sciences. The researchers found the additives were much more potent in combination with each other than on their own. Mice were exposed to concentrations of MSG and aspartame relative to what a child would receive in an average snack and drink. Researchers were surprised to see the additives interfered with nerve signaling systems and actually stopped the nerve cells from growing. Aspartame is commonly found in diet drinks, candies and flavored medicines, while MSG is frequently found in chips, processed cheese and many processed foods.

To resurrect this old thread, I looked on Google (Google-U) for stuff on Aspartame and found almost 200,000 hits for 'Aspartame Dangers'.
When you go to Google Scholar, however, there are just a few hundred. Basically, 'they' (the evil scientists) have studied the hell out of Aspartame and found no danger.

Several scientific issues continued to be raised after approval, largely as a concern for theoretical toxicity from its metabolic components—the amino acids, aspartate and phenylalanine, and methanol—even though dietary exposure to these components is much greater than from aspartame. Nonetheless, additional research, including evaluations of possible associations between aspartame and headaches, seizures, behavior, cognition, and mood as well as allergic-type reactions and use by potentially sensitive subpopulations, has continued after approval. These findings are reviewed here. The safety testing of aspartame has gone well beyond that required to evaluate the safety of a food additive. When all the research on aspartame, including evaluations in both the premarketing and postmarketing periods, is examined as a whole, it is clear that aspartame is safe, and there are no unresolved questions regarding its safety under conditions of intended use.

MSG is a naturally occurring, plant derived substance. A very small percentage of the population is sensitive to it and respond with various allergic reaction symptoms. The vast majority of us can enjoy it safely as Nature intended.

Re: Aspartame, 200,000 sites on Google for "danger of"

Like fluoride use, aspartame is a political situation. It is always interesting to read "scientific" research from companies who are sponsoring and selling their own product, which is what your first link includes. Why would G. D. Searle Co., who developed aspartame, and Monsanto, who sells it, want to promote their product as anything other than being healthy? Why would I ever believe Monsanto? It certainly hasn't shown a great deal of integrity in it's products or policies? Have you seen the movie online called "The World According to Monsanto"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMleWZXhi6s

Independent research is what is necessary. Check https://www.dorway.com/doctors.html

These links below talk about the abuse of the scientific method seen in Monsanto Aspartame research.

    https://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/abuse/methanol.html

A panel of American, British and Dutch industry members, having reviewed published research over the past 2 decades, has concluded that aspartame does not cause cancer, seizures, neurological damage or learning problems, or contributes to obesity. The panel did conclude that some people might get headaches after consuming aspartame. The panel's work was funded by Japanese food and seasonings giant Ajinomoto Co , a maker of aspartame. The reviewers rejected the findings of a study published in June 2006 by Italian scientists that showed aspartame might cause leukemia, lymphoma and breast cancer in rats. Journal Critical Reviews in Toxicology, Sept 2007.

    From https://dorway.com/dorwblog/?page_id=63
Monsanto (maker of fine poisons) and FDA (approver of same) say aspartame is the “most tested” and “safe” substance.
Fact: The FDA has its very OWN list of 92 SYMPTOMS based on over 10,000 official complaints. Considering that the FDA estimates that less the ONE percent of the victims ever report a problem… that balloons the number to well over 1,000,000 who SHOULD have complained.

A large number of the FDA’s 92 symptoms are PAINFUL - such as arthritis-like pains, fibromyalgia, multiple-sclerosis, migraines, etc.
[My observation of aspartame--I had a client who went home from a healing session, sat at the computer feeling great, had a diet soda and within an hour, could hardly see straight...blurred vision and a head pain. And it wasn't from the healing session because he had been a client for years and knew it was from the diet soda. He just didn't know about aspartame.]
Fact: ABC NEWS parroted a JUNK SCIENCE article, written by an obscure Dr. Manion and reported it as FACT, which is now pointed to by others as “proof” that aspartame is “good stuff,” (ABC never responded to the protests)

Jerome Bressler, author of the damning FDA audit that exposed the corruption of the G. D. Searle Co., reported that rats killed by the poison were resurrected on paper, neoplasms filtered out and cancers caused by aspartame, were ignored and deleted from Searle's records.

He said, "If you think that's bad, when the FDA retyped my report they left out the worst 20%. They deleted my cover letter and there are two mice studies you need to see. Get those reports, they're very important." Doctors H. J. Roberts (Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic,www.sunsentpress.com ) and Russell Blaylock (Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills, www.russellblaylockmd.com ) also called Jerome Bressler and got the same information.

This report is suppose to be a matter of public record so Dr. Roberts asked his Congressman to get the record from the FDA. They even refused his Congressman saying it was confidential. We were amazed that the FDA could withhold public documents from United States Congressmen. It's incriminating that a government agency like the FDA who is suppose to be protecting the health of the public would sell its soul to drug and chemical companies. [See the Bressler Report at https://www.dorway.com/bressler.txt ]

I think that the following link would be very useful to promote the use of aspartame. It could go along well with fluoride for rat poisoning. https://www.proliberty.com/observer/20060612.htm
