What if this guy had boats all around him, helping him, plugging his leak, and celebrating his success? You know! Happy celebration and connection. Community is created.

What does this have to do with gardening, you wonder?

I have been gathering people, information and inspiration since the early spring to create NEIGHBORHOOD GARDENS. The possibilities are numerous. My dream is to see people grow in their own yards and share. I can also assist in creating backyard gardens, maintaining and harvesting to your door, or even small interplantings in your already existing ornamental garden. Every little bit helps.

What's most important to me is the creation of mutual cooperation and connection.....community. Finding out who is growing what and creating something like a yahoo group where everyone can check in and let anyone else know what is available.

We need a place to meet in the beginning, a steering committee, a local point person....and follow up. (This is the key, brothers and sisters, )

Come on board now and there won't be a sinking ship, just a fleet of well fed monkeys!
