    Re: Male German Shepherd wanted

Hi there. If you are seeking to breed your GSD I suspect you will need to provide proof of testing for the numerous health problems that GSDs carry. No responsible GSD breeder will allow his/her dog/bitch to pass on genetic problems such as hip dysplasia, CSK, Demodicosis, giant axonal neuropathy, etc. However, IF you are simply looking to find a wonderful companion dog to your female GSD I am sure the local humane society or Animal Control will welcome you with open paws! There are numerous lovely dogs awaiting someone to walk into their lives and save them. Perhaps that lucky dog will go home with you!

Sam is a 1+ year old GS dog currently residing at the Sonoma County Animal Shelter since September who DESPERATELY needs a home. He appears to be very hyper when seen in his kennel, but he is a wonderfully smart and loving dog who is just scared and confused. Please consider giving this guy a home before his time is up!

Hi Jill. Has GSD Rescue been notified about this wonderful dog? I found GSD Rescue folks to be great to work with. Very responsive and caring.

I need to find a new home for my male purebred, long-haired GSD. You didn't specify if you're wanting to breed. Mine has been fixed. I have pics. I also just listed him herein with a picture.

    Re: Male German Shepherd wanted

I want to point out that in addition to the clear benefit to our companion animals of not breeding more of them when we do not have homes for the ones that already exist, the benefit to yourself. You are ever so much more likely to get the companion you seek by adopting instead of breeding. When you adopt you and your family can meet and evaluate the individual animals to find someone that is a good match for your home. Breeding in hope of getting just what you want is a crap shoot by comparison.
    Adopting is win-win.
    Cheers,
    Dodie
