IMPORTANT MEETING MONDAY 6PM GLASER CENTER 547 MENDOCINO AVE. SANTA ROSA!!!

Dear Community, In St.Louis Missouri they have initiated a program called "Is it good for the children?" this question is asked at every public meeting to make sure we are doing the right thing for the future of our world.
Children need clean air, water, and soil but instead many children are getting asthma which is at epidemic levels in Sonoma County. Will you help to heal our environment and stand up for the end to the use of pesticides, the replanting of riparian zones, and the end to pollution of our waterways and the selling off of our water to developers and casinos?
Right now the General Plan for the next 20 years is being decided. We are in grave danger of a water crisis, both in terms of quality and quantity. While new developments are popping up daily we are not sure there is enough water.

Democracies work because average citizens make them work. Many of you have never come to a government meeting and yet you want to see you rights protected. No one is going to do it for you.

Come to the meeting on This Monday Aug 27 at 6pm at the Glaser center (directions below) and let your voice be heard. This is the meeting where we are trying to get the largest attendance. If you are not familiar with the details it doesn't matter.
There will be citizen speakers representing groups like the Sonoma County Water Coalition, that will be very well informed. You can stand and support people you agree with.
The Supervisors appreciate these brief "vote-like" comments. Many of you have thanked me for my work as an activist but I cannot do your work for you.
You may be overwhelmed by the larger issues but this is acting locally to be effective globally. This is a chance for your voice to definitely be heard.

Will you be without enough water in a few years and wondering why?

Ask yourself is it good for the children to let the money interests, which you can bet will be at these meetings, win for your lack of concern?
Water is life, protect your future and the future of all living things!
Be There!
With Respect for you and Faith in a Healthy future, Peace, Magick

The Glaser Center is a former movie theater (now a Unitarian Church) on 547 Mendocino Ave., between 7th and 10th streets in Santa Rosa. It backs up against a City parking garage, with easy access.

The Board of Supervisors, (BoS as listed above) chambers are at the County Administration Center, just north of Steele Lane on the east side of 101. After either exiting 101 at Steele or driving under the freeway on Steele, immediately immediately turn left onto County Center Drive (there's also a sign for Illinois Ave., which is the right turn direction). Bear right at the flag circle onto Administration Drive and keep on to the stop sign at Ventura. To reach the BOS parking lot, you turn left on Ventura and then immediately left and left again.

If the BOS parking lot is full in the evening, you probably can park anywhere. In the afternoon, you can park along Administration Drive, or in the PRMD parking lot, which is the first right turn off of Ventura.
