FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WHAT: Local Organizing Effort for March 18th March/RallyStop the War! -
Sonoma County Unite!

WHERE:
From Sonoma County to San Francisco,

Justin Herman plaza – Civic Center
WHEN: March 18th, Noon (Morning Bus/carpool times below)

Sonoma County citizens are organizing to mobilize a large contingent for the upcoming march and rally in San Francisco on March 18th. This rally is just one of thousands of global actions being called to resist the Iraq war in towns and cities across the planet. March 17th is the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq. In Washington DC tens of thousands from around the country and more than 200 cities will descend on the Pentagon. In Canada, Europe, Brazil and the UK people will go to the streets, marches, protests, direct action all bringing to light that people all over the world are ready for a reasonable solution to an illegal war. Soldiers, veterans and military families also join the efforts to stop THE WAR MACHINE, and bring the troops home.

A Sonoma County contingent will dress for a funeral procession as they carry coffins
and photos or other representations of the
victims of this war; soldiers and civilians, the
environment and quality of life, justice and democracy. If you choose not to participate in
the funeral procession, consider marching with the Sonoma County banner in front of the
procession. Bring drums, signs but most importantly, bring
yourselves and your friends.
Look for the Sonoma County banner at the beginning of the March at JustinHerman Plaza
