Hi: We currently have openings for new members of Our Dementia Caregivers Support Group. Our meetings provide a caring, compassionate and confidential place to share your caregiving concerns, for those doing caregiving of people with Alzheimers or other forms of dementia. This group is also welcoming of family members whose loved ones with dementia are currently in the care of memory care communities or other assisted living communities, or have caregivers coming into their homes to care for their loved ones with dementia.

We meet weekly via Zoom on Thursdays, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Weekly attendance is a requirement for group membership, as doing so creates more group cohesion and safety. There is currently no fee for attendance, donations are welcome, but no one turned away due to inability to pay.

I'm currently interviewing potential new members. If there's interest, please send me a brief description of your caregiving situation and your availability to attend our weekly meetings. Thanks and wishing everyone well during these uncertain and challenging times. Best, Susan Kay Gilbert, M.A. Ed., Facilitator, Dementia Caregivers Support Group.
