Peacetown will celebrate the International Day of Peace
Peacetown will have several safe activities to Celebrate the United Nations International Peace Day on Monday, September 21st. On Sunday at 2:00pm in the Plaza kids and families will “Chalk It Up for Peace” with chalk drawings in the plaza and throughout the community and the neighborhoods. (See Below)
On Monday at Noon and 5:00pm, Jim Corbett, (aka Mr. Music) will present, and explain the Emissary Wheel of Light at the Peace Pole behind the Sebastopol Community Center. This wheel contains a twelve pointed star with qualities that everyone already possesses as an enlightened Being. (Courage, Patience, Wisdom, Certainty, Compassion, Joy, Clarit, Understanding, Depth, Generosity, Abundance, Agape). This will be a masked event and limited to 12 people at each session. At 3:00pm on Monday , The Peacetown Family Village will team-up with Shoes4kids to provide new shoes for all the kids at Castle Day Care on the Park Side School campus. Kids at Castle have been making Peace Blocks, which will be displayed on the Peace Wall at Toy Works, and Peace Flags for the Peace Garden at the Community Center.
