Current COVID restrictions on massage therapy/therapists

Here is the latest update from Supervisor Rabbitt's office:

"Thank you for contacting Supervisor Rabbitt. My name is Andrea and I work in Supervisor Rabbitt's Office. In response to your questions, please know the state differentiates between "medical massages" and "therapeutic massages."

Medical massages are "done based on a referral from a doctor or chiropractor." Therapeutic messages are presumably massages not done based on a referral from a doctor or chiropractor. Medical massages are allowed indoors. Therapeutic massages are not allowed indoors in counties (including Sonoma County) within the purple tier. The state's guidelines for purple tier prohibits indoor personal care services.
