We have some bad (okay, AWFUL) news:
Republican Mitt Romney's deceptively named "TRUST Act" is being attached to the next COVID-19 relief package by Mitch McConnell.
Here's what that really means for you: This bill will allow a private budget committee to exclusively make decisions and SLASH benefits from Social Security and Medicare behind closed doors! NO!!!
There truly has never been a more important time to take a stand against cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
Please, we need 10,000 signatures before 11:59 P.M. tonight, 7/24, to fight against Republicans' latest scheme to SLASH Social Security and Medicare. This is our biggest grassroots petition yet and we REALLY hope you'll sign it. >>
