Laura Cunningham - How ‘Carbon Farming’ is Destroying Point Reyes National Seashore


Laura Cunningham presents the science to support our position that PRNS must retire cattle grazing in order to fully restore the nature and biodiversity of our National Seashore for all to enjoy.

Filmmaker Skyler Thomas will also be showing a 12-minute video featuring Laura in the field at Point Reyes Seashore to make sense of conflicting information regarding the benefits of cattle grazing to native plants and animals. To preview the video, see:

Laura is a scientist, artist, ecologist and the California Director for the Western Watersheds Project and runs Point Reyes Rewilding Network. She is also the author of “State of Change: Forgotten Landscapes of California,” a Gold Medal Winner of the 2011 California Book Award about the native California ecosystems that are disappearing as a result of agricultural conversion and development.
