PHONE ZAP - Week of April 20-24: Demand immediate release of Sonoma County inmates and cease exposing them to COVID-19.

This is a continuation of last week's series of car protests. While we're taking a break from the in-person actions, we're continuing to further our demands—and giving the wider geographic and variously-abled community a chance to help out!—with a week-long phone zap.
Tie up phone lines and disrupt "business as usual" to highlight this issue, bring pressure to bear on those holding those horrible reins of power, and make it clear that ignoring problems like this makes neither them problems themselves nor the people fighting to address them go away. A lot of business has moved to online and phone media right now, so we think this has the potential to be particularly effective in this moment.

Relay your concerns directly to live people wherever you have the chance, and leave voicemail/email otherwise (or both)!

Sample statement
As a community member I'm very concerned about the hundreds of human beings still imprisoned in Sonoma County's jail system during this health emergency. I demand further releases occur immediately and that activists' demands, which have been communicated repeatedly to the county, be acted upon in full. Do not allow the jails to become death camps. Begin large-scale releases now.
