North Bay Veterans Resource Center’s
Rocca Sober Living Environment

The Rocca Sober Living Environment (SLE) exists to provide a quality living environment for male veterans who are in the process of rebuilding their lives. The core of the program is the exposure to a structured shared housing arrangement with required daily and weekly chores, house meetings, cooperative problem-solving, and participation in the creation and completion of an Individualized Service Plan “ISP.”

The Rocca SLE is a permanent, supportive-housing program and there is no limit on the amount of time a veteran may reside in the home, as long as they are in compliance with the SLE rules and lease agreement.

To be eligible for the program the veteran must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a male veteran with an honorable or other than honorable discharge.
  • The veteran must have at least 90 days’ sobriety and be willing to remain free of all substances both on and off site. Live a clean and sober lifestyle and be willing to submit to random drug testing.
  • Must be psychiatrically, medically and physically stable (complete all activities of daily living independently)
  • Meet or fall below the low-income threshold limit established by HUD for Santa Rosa (less than $60,500/yr).
  • Be willing to abide by the program rules and regulations and pay rent on-time.
