Dear Listeners
Tonight on KOWS Community Radio 92.5 FM www.kowsfm.com, I’ll be having Alydda Mangelsdorf and Charles Reed from the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board in the KOWS studio at 7-8 pm tonight (Friday) to talk about the controversial Russian River Pathogen TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) Program. This program will require virtually every owner along the Russian River and main tributaries to upgrade their septic and cess pool to prevent the river being too polluted to use. Currently most of the existing individual systems are in bad repair and totally inadequate for current clean water standards. This could cost from $20,000 to $100,000 for each owner depending on conditions. Questions? Call in! 755-9250
