Join Daily Acts in installing four home landscapes in Coffey Park, and help inspire and empower our community to be fire safer and more resilient.

As our community continues to come together since the 2017 wildfires, the way that we rebuild will shape the character and determine the resilience of our fire impacted neighborhoods and communities. On the weekend of the two year anniversary of the fires, Daily Acts will be hosting a large landscape installation workday for four homeowners in Coffey Park. This will be a big community effort, where volunteer will help to sheet mulch, plant, and install drip irrigation to the front yard sites.

For many, the process of rebuilding and permitting is quite cumbersome, and a majority of households were significantly under-insured and face increased costs for rebuilding and landscaping. From the beginning of the post-fire rebuild, Daily Acts has worked in partnership to help reduce some of these barriers to re-entry, collaborating with the Sonoma County Water Agency, the City of Santa Rosa, and local landscape architects to create scalable landscape design templates. Designed for water, fire, and resource resilience, these templates are free to the public and will expedite permit approval while saving thousands of dollars in expense per household. The templates are accessible to the public and can be found by clicking here.

Come out and be part of this mobilization, and learn how you too can apply these techniques to make your own home water-wise, fire safer, and a functional landscape for you and our world to benefit from. We will be hosting a potluck lunch and social hour after the projects are complete as a way of expressing our gratitude and bringing people together over a delicious meal.
