This edition of "Touch the Earth:Intuitive Art Workshop" will focus on our feelings around climate change, species extinction, etc. We use our feelings as grist for our creative journey in dialogue with ourselves, nature and each other.
"With isolated exceptions, every generation prior to ours lived with the assumption that other generations would follow. It has been an integral part of the human experience to take it for granted that the work of our hands and heads and hearts could live on through those who came after us, walking the same earth, beneath the same sky. Now we have lost the certainty that there will be a future for humans. I believe that this loss, felt at some level of consciousness by everyone, regardless of political orientation, is the pivotal psychological reality of our time."
Joanna Macy "World as Lover, World as Self" 1991.
Joanna's seminal book first appeared 28 years ago and still it's hard for us to come to terms with this reality.
We need a space to feel and express what is hidden/forbidden within our consciousness. By grounding ourselves in the earth and sharing our personal and collective feelings we can find the support to move and dialogue with ourselves and nature, letting the magic of creativity reconnect us to our inherent strength and aliveness, rebooting our resilient core.
Using earth meditations, medicine wheel, toning, light movement, dyads, nature dialogue, written word, drawing and watercolor we will traverse our inner landscape of mind, heart and body, reuniting with the one body at the heart of creation.
This is needed medicine for our time.

Praise for “Touch the Earth”:
“The workshop was a wonderful blend of grounding ourselves in the natural world, and from there delving into creativity through watercolor. There was just enough instruction to feel supported, yet freedom to intuitively explore. Thank you Michael!”
Kaylee Powell, Santa Rosa. Ca.
"Michael created a unique setting to explore moment to moment what wished to come forward on to the paper in front of me. This was achieved through his ability to convey his understanding of the creative process as well as connect us to our bodies through movement and grounding. What a fun and rich day!"
David Lee, Sebastopol
