Join us on Saturday, June 15, for #ImpeachTrump: Act to Defend Democracy, a national day of local action to demand an inquiry into the impeachment of Donald Trump!

It’s all about protecting our Constitution, a citizens duty. Donald Trump’s abuses of our communities and country demand action from Congress, which has the responsibility and authority to hold Trump accountable. The next crucial step is an inquiry into whether to draft articles of impeachment.

Events will be visible, family-friendly, public gatherings to demonstrate to our representatives that impeachment is the will of the people. Together, we will inform our communities about Trump’s abuses and the process of impeachment, then make plans to convey our support for impeachment to our elected officials.

A core principle shared by supporting organizations is a commitment to nonviolent, peaceful actions. All actions that are sponsored or organized on this page are intended to be nonviolent and peaceful. We expect all participants to act lawfully at all times and to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

We're all carpooling from Sebastopol. My car is full but maybe some else can start another carpool? Big corporate media has really kept the crimes of the trump administration quiet from alot of the country due to his craven support of the 1%. At a recent Indiana Town Hall last week one woman, GOP, was shocked to hear about the Mueller Report did not let trump off the hook and was actually shocked about all his crimes, she said she didn't hear a thing about it on the news.

Starting impeachment is a big deal and the media will HAVE to cover it. Can we not be just "red" or "blue" but red, white and blue and put country first?

Great blogger pointed out more reasons to impeach besides the corruption, lies and criminal activity being openly perpetrated in our faces to our planet and our souls by him and the swamp.

1. It is a constitutional responsibility, given what we know and what we suspect.
2. Failure to Impeach, given what we know and what we suspect, sets a terrible precedent.
3. Impeachment is an educational process. Many are blind to the damage Trump has and is doing to the office, to the country and to the planet. Bring the facts into the light. If the GOP controlled Senate fails to convict, more people will recognize them for the snake oil salesmen/saleswomen and enablers they clearly are.
4. If an opposition party is actually to be an opposition party, it must oppose.
