In December, the U.N. voted on a nonbinding resolution callingfor an ‘Intensification of efforts to prevent and eliminate all forms ofviolence against women and girls.’
It passed with a vote of 130-1. Guess who voted against it?The good old U.S.A.
Countries in favor of the resolution included Saudi Arabia, Congo, Yemen, Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Saudi Arabia.
Time to wave your flags, kids.
