    Mammoth Rocks?

I want to visit Mammoth Rocks with a friend who doesn't think she can walk the 3 miles from and back to the Shell Beach parking lot.

Do any of you know if there is a closer access?

Also, is Jasper Rock near the Mammoth Rocks?

Take the turnoff to Goat Rock State Park and park at one of the turnouts as you drive up the hill. Paths lead down to the rocks, which are favored by practicing rock climbers. On the other hand, it is a dirt path downhill; your friend may actually prefer the more level path from Shell Beach (though it too has some ups and downs as it crosses gullies).
