WATER for Ecuador earthquake survivors - opportunity to donate & 100% for WATER FILTERS

    Let's get water to Ecuador.
    Hi everybody,
As you may know, a 7.8 earthquake hit the tiny, Colorado-sized nation of Ecuador April 16th.
Thousands of Ecuadorians are displaced, their homes in ruins. Scarier still, many are without a clean source of water.
Ecuadorians are known for being big-hearted, and their response to the earthquake has been just that. Our partners and UNIFY ambassadors on the ground tell us that immediately after the earthquake, volunteers, 1st responders, paramedics, the military, and police all joined forces to search through piles of concrete and twisted scaffolding to rescue as many people as they could. At the same time, our partner organization The Waterbearers teamed up with Ecuadorian chocolatier Pacari and responded with 50 life-saving water filtration systems. Each of these systems has the capacity to provide clean water to 100 people for ten years.

In other words, our partner organizations quickly got water to as many as 5,000 people in need.

Three days later 200 more filters arrived, along with additional teams from partner organization Waves For Water, who headed out to the coast to help survivors there. Thanks to their good work, up to 25,000 people have access to a life-giving water source.
But now they need our help.

There are still a lot of people in Ecuador without water. In two days our friend and Waterbearers Board Member Erin Toppenberg is flying down from the U.S. with as many boxes of water filters as we can supply her with.

Their goal is 500 more filters, and we are committed to doing everything we can to support the mission.
Let’s do this together. We’re asking for your support and the support of all of our UNIFY community and family in bringing this gift of clean water to as many earthquake survivors as possible. Will you join in to buy more water filters and bring more life giving, nourishing water to our friends who are suffering and need our help?

100% of donations go to buying water filters.

Here are some photos of Ecuadorians who have already received help from The WaterBearers:
Part of our mission here at UNIFY is to help bring love in real, tangible ways to all regions of the planet. Unify with us in supporting the heroes on the ground in Ecuador who are bringing water to those who so desperately need it.
And here are pictures of our partners and ambassadors on the ground delivering and training people for fresh water.
Each dollar counts. $50 buys an entire water filter system that will supply water to 100 people for ten years. That’s one million gallons of fresh water per unit.
Our partners tell us that every ounce of generosity is having a huge impact on the wellbeing of Ecuadorians recovering from the earthquake.
Thank you for joining us on this heart-filled mission,

    Lucy and the UNIFY team
