Apparently, some good ol' boys decided one Black farm was one too many in their neighborhood.
Call Script: I am amongst 30,000 people who signed the petition demanding the USDA & Department of Justice immediately stop the unjust seizure of Eddie & Dorothy Wise’s farm. I am calling [Tom Vilsack, DOJ, or Local FSA Officer] to immediately stop the auction of the farm set for Monday April 4th in North Carolina. In addition, I request that the USDA conduct a full independent investigation to uncover how Mr. Wise’s fair case escalated so rapidly as well as the violent way in which he was forcibly removed. Finally, we demand that all measures be taken so that no other farmer, especially Black farmers who now only make up 1% of all farms, be treated as violently, inhumanely and unjustly as Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Wise.
