SF just banned plastic water bottles, let's be next

    Dear WACCO friends,
I just saw this item about SF banning plastic water bottles (city property). Concord, MA has already done it also. Let's do it! Such a small thing, but a start, and a consciousness-opener.

Yes! It is actually a big thing and I really hope we can do it - at least in Sebastopol!

Stupid Government in SF. You can poop in the street, no problem, but you can't get a drink of water in city hall. Remember CRV? State setup the program but made no effort to setup returns so now you have to drive through three cities just to find a place to return your bottles. That's a stupid state law stupidly implemented (what else, in CA)? So, what will REALLY happen is: you will be buying 21.5 Oz bottles in all the SF city venues. Big freakin difference. Just everyone pays more, and bigger bottles will be used instead of smaller ones. Stupid people making stupid laws that are stupidly implemented, and don't make any difference at all. And we re-elect the same ones time and again, do I correct myself: Stupid people, electing stupid people to write stupid laws, stupidly implemented, that don't do anything. Yup, that's CA.

How about we stop banning things, and instead hire a waste management company actually interested in doing it's job?
