Isis Oasis Sanctuary is seeking stable, fit, addiction-free, happy individuals used to living in a community setting for worktrade at our beautiful cat, bird, and reptile sanctuary and Egyptian-themed Goddess temple in Geyserville, California in the heart of the Alexander Valley wine country. Open-minded and open-hearted, flexible and fun individuals with good can-do attitudes and good interpersonal skills thrive best here.

Handyperson position requires a minimum of basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills to help maintain our extensive bird and animal enclosures and older redwood living structures along with a variety of other projects. Flexible hours with some on-call periods on weekends.

Housekeeper will make up rooms, sometimes suddenly, for our retreat center and bed and breakfast guests which support our temple activities and the housekeeper will need to be available some hours Thu-Sun most weeks.

Groundskeeper will tend our large collection of plants and trees, help with grounds and pool maintenance, irrigation projects, lighting, and work in our permaculture garden. Flexible hours usually with some Thurs/Fri hours to prep for weekend events.

Handyman and groundskeeper positions require drivers license and must be insurable. All positions are 20 hours per week for lodging or other space (such as for your tent or RV). All volunteers will do dishwashing and kitchen maintenance on a rotating basis. Whatever your main position, it may at times be necessary to assist in other areas such as guest greeting, wedding setups, office etc. as needed. If you've ever said "Sorry, that's not my job," this is probably not the place for you.

Perks include at least weekly community meals (please note that most meals are not provided at this time), free attendance at some of the spiritual workshops held here, regular Isis temple rites, beautiful surroundings, some pool and hot tub use (limited hours when guests not present), etc.

90 day trial period, background checks required. Volunteers for all positions must be able to work well with mainly female supervisory staff and clergy members.
