In Colombia and other parts of the world simple wooden platforms with rocks placed on them are used to build a small fire upon. We built one using this method in Pennsylvania in the early seventies. We had a wooden canopy above since it rains during the Summer. This was near a stream so we redirected water to the fire area. Held up for many years. Simple yet effective.

Hey sis, Clay here... We got the Bus going!!! still parked at Storage Unit... Need insurance and moving pass... Soooo I have alot of building experience in outdoor kitchens... I have the tools I just reacquired and need the work... A tent site for a few days would be nice and shower for family? lol... We have been camping in Occidental :} Also got a bench seat done from the bus... Really cool... painted copper and Redwood boards from old fencing. Email me. [email protected] no cell coverage here... need to get a Verizon phone. So what is budget and vision is what I would need to know if you wanted to do something... Alot of materials can be upcycled... like the sink and stoves etc. Save alot of money. Stainless sinks are like $350+ new and or $50-$100 used... can set up gravity feed water...propane stove... and a on demand water heater is only about $120 new... Bless! We are doing well... Indy is very happy playing here in Redwoods by the River...:}
