I was glad to see that in its current issue the editorial board of the Santa Rosa Junior College student publication, the Oak Leaf, has endorsed Jordan Burns for the JC's Board of Trustees. They note that he graduated valedictorian from the JC in 2009 and served on the board as a student trustee, helping make it "more accessible both to SRJC students and the community at large." They note that he is committed "to a more open and accessible Board of trustees." Burns is challenging the current Board member, a Republican who has served for nearly 30 years, which is how old Burns is. The Board could benefit from some new blood from a former student, who would be closer to the ages of most of the current students. Vote for Jordan Burns.
