Join us October 18th at 2pm for a very special afternoon outdoor music festival at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center in the heart of beautiful San Geronimo. In addition to the top caliber live music you will find delicious affordable food, a free bounce house for kids, and plenty of room to dance or lay your blanket down on the courtyard grass and enjoy the show.

The Community Center is located at 6350 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in San Geronimo, CA. It’s a short drive out Sir Francis Drake Blvd., just 15 minutes west of San Rafael in west Marin. Plentiful parking, but please carpool and bring your favorite picnic blanket or low beach chairs.

Tickets at the door are $25 adults and $10 kids. Partial proceeds benefit the SGVCC food bank and other programs. You can save money and support a great cause with your advance ticket purchase (through Friday, Oct 17) - only $20 adults and $5 kids. Doors open at 1pm.

About the Bands: San Francisco rock quintet New Monsoon is the collaborative vehicle for the vocal and instrumental prowess of founding members Bo Carper (acoustic guitar, banjo), Jeff Miller (electric guitar) and Phil Ferlino (keys). Now well into its second decade of national touring, the band also features Marshall Harrell (electric bass) and Michael Pinkham (drums).

The performance supports New Monsoon’s 5th studio album Diamonds and Clay, featuring 10 original tracks that capture the sophisticated songwriting, soulful instrumental interplay, lush harmony vocals and soaring energy that have become New Monsoon's trademark.

“[New Monsoon is]…one of the best jam bands to come out of Marin County.” – Paul Liberatore (Marin Independent Journal)

“Diamonds and Clay affirms New Monsoon as torchbearers for rock & roll with something substantive to say…they stretch rock in the same winning ways as Traffic and Little Feat, where great skill, undisguised passion, and well-weathered soul combine for nourishment for folks who seek music that's more than mere” – Dennis Cook (JamBase)

San Geronimo (the band) at San Geronimo the venue - it was meant to be! Hometown heroes and Terrapin Crossroads/Kate Wolf Fest favorites will bring what the San Francisco Bay Guardian calls “Hard charging Americana” to the courtyard stage. With influences from Fugazi to Floyd, the band features double trouble front men Darren Nelson of Honeydust (vocals and guitar) and Jeremy D'Antonio of Tiny Television (vocals, guitar and harmonica) and Tiny Television Veterans: Dave Zirbel, Brian Rashap (The Mother Hips) and Dan Luehring.

SGVCC is a treasured destination of music lovers and their families. We hope to see you and yours on October 18th! Past artists include Tea Leaf Green, Zero, Moonalice and more.
