(Re)considering your approach to conflict
*a process offered to communities/families/organizations/schools*

Do you live or work in community with other people and are questioning the way conflict is handled?

Are you wishing for more understanding and deeper connections with people?

Can you imagine engaging in conflict in a way that strengthens relationships rather than strains them?

Have you ever wondered how the prevalent justice system influences or dominates your own response to conflict? A justice system that is punitive, hierarchical, non-empathetic and structurally violent?

Do you dream about how communication and conflict COULD ideally look like in your community/family/organization/school?

We offer to support and accompany groups on their way to create their own justice system.

This will include the following steps:

  • Inquiry and investigation of your current approach to conflict
What is working for you? What isn’t working so well?

  • Exploring alternatives.
How do you dream it could be? Which preconditions does that involve?

  • Setting up a restorative justice system that resembles your “ideal” approach to conflict, developed through a horizontal and consensus based process.

Kaya Martischius and Ellie Erdman have been studying and learning about communication and conflict for many years. We feel drawn towards non-violence, restorative justice and the work of ‘Restorative Circles,’ a practice developed in Brazil, which is used in a wide range of communities, schools, court systems, and organizations throughout the world. www.restorativecircles.org
We offer our service completely donation-based. Considering everybody’s resources and needs, we will engage in a process that will strengthen mutual and collective responsibility and care.
