We are two small stores with related ownership that share a part-time, independent bookkeeper. Our bookkeeper is retiring to take care of his wife, so we have an immediate opening. He currently works 4 to 6 hours on Monday and the same on Thursday, split between the two stores. Our stores, which are about two blocks apart, are located in West Sonoma County. That timing works out best for us. He does the usual posting to Quick Books, prepares monthly P&L’s and Balance sheets, prepares twice-weekly cash flow forecasts, prepares deposits, writes checks, and other bookkeeping tasks. We use an outside payroll service and have a POS system at one of our stores. If you are experienced in retail bookkeeping and Quick Books and enjoy working in small businesses, this could be an ideal opportunity.
