    Tennis or Folk Dancing

Until i can buy land and build a house, i'm living in Petaluma, where it costs $5 a pop to go swimming. Walking isn't enough exercise for me any more. I'd like someone with whom to either play tennis (which to me means keeping the ball going as long at a time as possible) or go folk dancing. If there isn't already a folk dance group somewhere in Sonoma County, maybe we could organize it ourselves if there's enough interest.

    Re: Tennis or Folk Dancing

There is a Contra Dance tomorrow nightFriday July 21) at Monroe Hall in Santa Rosa. Lesson at 7:30; dance starts at 8:00. It's easy and fun. Go to www.nbcds.org for more info. There will be one at Hermann Sons Hall in Petaluma on Aug 4. We have some free passes for first time dancers too.

For folk dance, Marilyn Smith's class at SRCJ is great. Beginning on Thurs, Intermediate on Tues nights starting in Sept. There are usually over 50 people in each class. There are also related parties about once a quarter at the SR Vets building.

Contact me directly if you want more info.

There is also folk dancing at Clo's Creamery in Santa Rosa on several Monday nights (7-9) during the summer. I'm not sure when the last one is.
