I think the Supreme Court settled this. There no limit of freedom, there is no governmental control. It's simply a tax that you don't need to pay if you take responsibility and get your own health insurance. Nobody is forcing you to do anything, despite it being called a mandate. If you are already have health insurance nothing needs to change. And I think this is fair, since the government ends up picking up that tab for when the uninsured person arrives at the hospital.Quote:

It's time for the right wing hysterical fear-mongering about a program they designed to stop. Just because it was picked up by the Democrats decided to embrace it, it doesn't threaten life as we know it. This is a private enterprise oriented health care system, much to the chagrin of many of us who would prefer a single payer program that would be both more efficient and give the right wing something credible to whine about.
