This sure looks like Tom Hanks to me. What do the rest of you think? Many actors and actresses have been on the front lines against Trump. This one brought a needed smile to me.

oh, I'm sure he'd wear it. But the question about reality implied use of photoshop, I think, rather than doubt about Hank's politics. I bet by next year we'll be having home-synthesized fake video too -- everyone has to be thinking that now, not waiting till it's the squirrel-of-the-day. There's 3D modelling software that lets you map the motions of your face to a rendering taken from, say, Trump or Obama, and generate very believable video. Voice is currently harder to fake. Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if you're not up on the most recent Star Wars stuff, but the resurrection of a dead actor there did not take any particularly exotic equipment to generate. Computer years are like dog years, but more so.
Re: Best in Political Humor - October 2018
Using "dead" actors is not new and has been around for a few years.

I'm pretty sure that the picture shows Tom Hanks, but the text on the t-shirt was added by someone else, after the fact. You can tell because his t-shirt surface is clearly curved and wavy, but the lines on the text are all unaffected.

Lip-synching needs work, Barry. From what I've seen, the Right does a much better job of this sort of thing--probably because of all the ties they have to the advertising industry. Almost impossible to tell it's been done except for the content.
