What time was it? I was up until at least 3 AM, and didn't feel it here in Santa Rosa (though maybe that's to be expected with one that's only "two-point-something"). Of course, we have too-small-to-feel earth tremors every day.

Nico, I clicked on the link and couldn't find the claim about "WORLD OCEANS TO BE "DEAD" IN 15 YEARS", even by searching a bit on that website. Checking out the first page of Google hits for that phrase didn't find it either. Could you provide a link to that info?

I'm glad I'm still here to celebrate my birthday! :waccosun:
Sure I'll go search that;
someone posed it on FB about a month ago It was
a conference they had where oceanographers for all over the world gathered to talk.
I think Scripps was the host..
here we go https://sio.ucsd.edu/Ocean_Acidification/
this one's kind of technical..the origional was a quote from Late Scripps geochemist Charles David Keeling
OR another oceanographer at the conference.
there will always be conflicting opinions when global warming was discovered the govt. fired about 5 or 6 top atmospheric scientists until they could find someone who would say it didn't exist..
so ther might be a way that this could all be turned around,,,and the changes for such a catastrophy would be slow and
regional at first.

Happy Birthday, Solstice Baby.
Do you have a request for tonight's "Red Shoes Rodeo"? If I have it, I'm happy to play it for you.
I didn't look at a clock when I felt the quake (actually, a quick jolt and a creak of house timbers) but it was before 10PM. Has anyone heard more about it?
Roland
I found this, Roland: https://abclocal.go.com/kgo/feature?...cal&id=6264412
There are a few other links, too. I googled "Northern California earthquake December 20, 2012.'
I woke up this morning and everything had been replaced by an exact replica! ;)
(paraphrase from a Stephen Wright joke)
Blessed Solstice, happy holidays, and a healthy and prosperous New Year to all!
And happy birthday, Barry! :waccosun:
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the hard work you do in keeping the WaccoBB alive, lively, kicking, growing, helping and inspiring. Perhaps many of us know how much work is involved, but for those who don't know, this is a reminder that we are fortunate to have such a vehicle for community building and connection.
I am a very appreciative recipient of the daily Wacco!

[ Dec 21st is my Birthday! Being a Winter Solstice baby has always carried it's challenges and gifts and this year that goes double! ]
Hope you enjoyed celebrating your birth. You're work with Wacco has made such a difference in so many lives. You are much appreciated!
Wishing you and your love many unexpected blessings in the coming year.
I'm hoping to be able to become a paid member of Wacco in the near future, if I get a little Xmas cash.
I'm grateful that Barry didn't get taken to another space/time continuum to do Wacco in the 13th dimension. We need you here!
Roland
I echo your HAPPY BIRTHDAY!, I'm glad you're still here, and most of the wacco's that come with you. Peace to ALL, and I'll echo another post I saw, "Think globally, act neighborly" b
Thanks for all your kind words, everybody!
Seems like we are still here! :yippee:
Now what?
Roland, If the theory of multiple universes is correct, Barry could have split off into an exact replica of this one where he is the Master of his Wacco universe and having the best of times... just like he is here, only which one is he?
