Is it best to report such an email to the moderator then? Would that be the right thing to do?
What if the moderator does nothing about it? Answer me that.
In any case, I still have strong reservations when there are exceptional cases like this one, or perhaps something even worse.

I've found nothing in that private email that can be construed as an insult (or attack) to you personally. Todd is expressing his beliefs that we are screwed no matter who is in the White House.Others have expressed that same sentiment here.Quote:

Fine. In the future, I will send a copy of insulting private emails to the moderator in the hopes that she or he will address the matter. My only concern is that this may not always happen. In which case, I will opt to 'out' the rude person.
All interpretations of the email aside, this is a pervasive problem with email lists/debate forums in general. Hostile subscribers who are angry or hateful with another poster will often take the liberty to offend them privately so that it is not seen by the community. They know the community won't allow for this or they are too embarrassed to show their real colors by insulting another person publicly. That's why it's a cowardly act. People like Todd are cowards, rude ones at that.
The only 'solution' I have seen (and it's a timid one indeed) is to complain to the moderator(s) of the list, but this many times does not work for various reasons.

As far as rudeness goes, you started the whole thing by implying that I was afraid to reply to Ms. Terry's comment, because I didn't immediately post a response. Sorry, but I have to W O R K so that I can support liberals and communists, which means I don't sit around waiting for somebody to post a comment on something I wrote 13 days ago.
You have since then said that I am dishonest and a liar, although my very actions of posting my note to you dissprove what you say, therefore making you dishonest by calling me dishonest. Why you can get this through your head is beyond me.
Still you have not said one single thing to repudiate what I have posted except to yet again, whine about posting protocol, and you are wrong at that also as witnessed by both Barry and Ms. Terry.

Let's get back to the issue which is: Socialism is for losers, and every country that has tried it is proof of that. Castro is one of the most evil despots in modern history, right up there with Stalin, Mao and Hitler, and what he did to Cuba is a tradegy of the first degree. If the people are so happy, why do so many of them die trying to raft to America to get away from their shattered country? Castro and Guevara killed 20 times as many as Batista ever did. Cuba is a Communist DICTATORSHIP, which means the people have no say in their government.
When you are ready to debate your precious Communism and can bring some intelligent factual logic to the table to support your hypothesis, bring it on.
