If it were me, I would just turn it in to the DMV.

Just mail it to the address given on the license. When I lost mine, the person that found it just mailed it back to me.

Turning it in to the Sebastopol Police, or the city/county where you found it may be best.

WHAT IS A Dirvers LICENSE ?
Re: Dirver's License found for Shane Piccinni
You're kidding, right? If you drive a vehicle, you need to have one, unless you're a "free person", which most people aren't because then they wouldn't be able to take advantage of the varous "services" given to "citizens.

No you don't, Shandi. Try again.

Hold on a moment, folks, and look at the word "dirver". I wouldn't know what a license to "dirve" was, either, Tinque. -- Elizabeth

Um, I found one of those once and put it in an envelope with a very short note and mailed it to the address on the license. But this discussion goes on. ....
Re: Dirver's License found for Shane Piccinni
What this shows me is how we've adapted to so many words being incorrectly spelled. I see it everywhere. It seems that the younger generation has a lax attitude about it, which may come from the practice of texting, or maybe it starts much younger with a lack of emphasis on spelling correctly.
When watching televised programs that have running subtitles, I can't believe the words they create that sound like the words being said, but are so far off, it's really sad, in a way. But I guess spelling is the least of our concerns.
It's hard to believe that in this case the word "dirver" wasn't understood to mean "driver". We need to be careful about our spelling errors....because someone is watching, who isn't able to read words that aren't spelled correctly. I saw a visual test recently where many letters were left out of a complete sentence, and it was still readable to people who had a high intelligence level. I was actually surprised that I could make out what it said.
I wonder how this issue of the driver's license has been concluded. I asked, but no response has been offered.
