Dear Friends & Neighbors - My work and odyssey
HAPPY NEW YEAR ...! Love and blessings to you and all your loved ones!
I am writing from my lovely little golden room in a beautiful new house in Fircrest Mobile Home Park in Sebastopol. In the 2 1/2 years that have elapsed since I left my beloved studio on North High Street I'd called home for 34 years -- I have undergone quite an odyssey.
When I start to feel overwhelmed with nostalgia for the home that was lost ... I stop and take a deep breath ... and imagine all the other people around the globe who are going through similar changes/challenges. As difficult as it has been at times to cope and adapt ... I know that I am not alone ...what I am experiencing is part of the human condition.
The key seems to be surrender ... to release resistance ... to stay focused in the Present Moment ... and cultivate gratitude. These make up my daily practice.
And I am learning that changes bring gifts! My load is lighter now. I see myself as a pilgrim, compassionately offered shelter doing a work-trade for rent. Though tomorrow may be uncertain, today feels wide-open with possibilities!
When my odyssey first began, I went within and prayed for guidance about where to place my focus? The answer came swiftly: "Hold forth the work." My focus remains on that work, which I consider my life calling.
For more information about my work, please ask me in person, drop a note in the mail, or leave a message on my voicemail: (707) 304-9191. Thank you for allowing me to share the journey with you ...!
