As we give thanks today, let's remember that native people began gathering at sunrise at Alcatraz this morning to celebrate Indigenous People's Day and Native American Heritage Month. You can hear more about this from interviews on KPFA radio, 94.1 throughout the day. As we eat today--including the wild miner's baby lettuce and sheep sorel that the Earth provides us--let us remember the Pomo, Miwok, Ohlone, and other people who inhabited this sacred land.
Then let's remember those silly government officials who brought wild turkeys here, who have grown in numbers and cause much damage to our crops and create accidents as they cross roads. The PD had a good front-page article on them a couple of days ago and all the harm that they do. They are cute and interesting, but they lack many predators here, since the mountain lion population has been so reduced.

Happy Thanksgiving WaCC:waccosun:Land.
I'm thankful for the pot luck feast with my church community - Center for Spiritual Living Santa Rosa.
On Sundays I enjoy my church "Green style"; that is I listen to the CSL broadcast in bed, on 1350 am from 8:30 - 9 AM.
Maybe you'd like it too. www.ksro.com/Programs/SpiritualLiving.aspx.
 & PEACE!,
