BOYCOTT BEGINS ~ Please vote and send a donation!
Everyone please stick to the issues... and be kind, even if you don't disagree.
This campaign is solution oriented. We are seeking POSITIVE contributions.
Unfortunately, both CVS and Chase have a history of acquiring our relationship through coercion. (buying loans, exclusive pharmacy purchasing agreements, bullying city council... Not to mention the millions in lawsuits they face for bad behavior.)
This is not the kind of legacy I want for this town or future generations. That is an UNETHICAL way of doing business.
A boss once said, "Don't come to me with just your problems. Show me what solutions you considered too."
Great advice!
Here's the website: https://MoveMoney.org
There's a voting page on the site above. :vote1:
Show us you can provide solutions to save the integrity of our town!
Re: BOYCOTT BEGINS ~ Please vote and send a donation!
I don't understand how it benefits us to join with MoveMoney.org
Will they be donating to this cause?
I thought that it was important to have Sebastopol on the sticker...now it seems
that it's been replaced by MoveMoney.org
The "cost" of $1.50 per sticker seems high. How many are being ordered? Is our local printer donating any of the cost? Are we sticking to 2 colors?

Thank you for your questions. Barry just brought it to my attention that there wasn't a reply here.
I spent at about 20 minutes preparing a detailed answer.
In a nutshell...
1) I accept no money... It all goes to the legal fund, Committee for Small Town Sebastopol
2) Sebastopol clutters the sticker. People can learn more from the website. ((KISS))
MoveMoney.org is a hub and spoke model:
If you want to be involved in the legal effort/traffic study... go to x
If you want to know where political candidates stand on this issue... go to x
If you want to be involved in a new development plan... go to x
If you want to chat about the topic... go to x
If you want to change the general plan.... go to x
If you moved your money and want to be included in quantifying it.... go to x
If you want to find out how local a business is... go to x
You get the idea. I'm inclusive, giving people that want to MAKE SPECIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS options they need to do so with minimal time wasted. I will listen to any suggestions, but I'm not waiting for consensus... That will never happen.... unless broken down into specific, actionable tasks and dates. It is up to each working group to decide that among themselves.
3) There's been a wee bit of inflation I think since your last order. 1/3 of the cost is mailing it!
Obviously quantity mailing to groups will help stretch things further. Talk to your friends and small groups.... pass the hat. Let's just get it DONE!
... Check this out:

As for the sticker itself, Sprint Copy is asking for $1 a piece up to 299. If we pay $300 we get 500.
ORDER IS BEING PLACED MONDAY EVENING. ...IF WE CAN RAISE $300 WE'LL GET THE MOST FOR OUR MONEY. WHAT IS CRAZY ABOUT THIS IS THAT THE TRI-FECTA SPENDS FOR THAN THAT (((PER HOUR)))) ON ATTORNEY FEES. LOL???
COME ON SEBASTOPOL!!! GET BUSY... MOVE MONEY.... GET A STICKER, TELL A FRIEND.

Re: BOYCOTT BEGINS ~ Please vote and send a donation!
Since we are coming up on the Labor Day weekend, we have a little extra time for the marketing campaign.
As for filling the wheels on the spokes for SPECIFIC, ACTIONABLE things people can do, that part is coming along quite nicely.
...I'm starting to feel optimistic that Sebastopol can do this and create a real sustainable solution for all.
There most likely will not be an update until after the holiday weekend.
I hope you all enjoy your last long holiday before the fall season starts to settle in!
