There is this listing Renew Computers - Repair, Refurbish, Recycle who might be quite helpful, since they can both repair and recycle it if need be.

There's also Computer Recycling Center on Santa Rosa Ave. in Santa Rosa. They sell refurbished Macs and PCs, though Macs are often harder to come by b/c generally as soon as one is ready, it's sold. Their Mac tech is also fantastic. He's only in on Friday and Saturday: ask for Derrick. The PC techs are there any day CRC is open.

Do you know that mac computers can be worked on free of charge at the mac store in Santa Rosa? On line, make an appointment with the genius bar at the mac store in SR ( it's a little tricky --- make sure you get a confirmation ) They are 1/2 hr appointments I believe, and they're very fast, courteous and get the job done. My daughter even took an older mac, they had to order a part, but it was free both visits.Quote:
