Some Basic Qualities of a Sane World.
Some Basic Qualities of a Sane World.
No matter how the initial "vision"/model of a sane world would originate (whether put together by a "few individuals", or by collective, cooperative effort), there is a very urgent call for one to exist NOW, if only in not a perfect form--it would be perfected in the further process of elaborating on it (as no satisfactory vision can remain static in order to remain viable) by more and more participants.
It would not be very difficult to start forming one already today--we already know what some of its basic qualities would be:
A satisfactory world to live in would have to be able to self-perpetuate itself--it would have to be transparently sustainable, communicable to all participants, and it would be possible to test it in models for sustainability.
In such an ideal world everyone would have a real home, a really sustainable home to go to to be at optimal ease. This would imply much lower population density, please, see what I wrote in "Universal Platform ... " - www.ModelEarth.Org/seed.html .
Every basic necessity needed for living well would be as next to one's doorstep as possible.
There would be no waste--everything would exist cyclically.
... ...
In "Limits to Growth: The 30-Year Update" the author(s) introduced the need for a "sustainable revolution"; they stressed that this "revolution" would be different from all the other past "revolutions" in being consciously designed and conducted--this "revolution" would not happen spontaneously, as there really is no time and leisure for it happening so.
Donella Meadows faced the same problem I did when I realized that a vision of an ideal world needed to be shared and embraced by all of those who had an interest/stake in an existence/realization of such a world. She did not live long enough to develop the challenge fully herself.
Please consider how I propose to deal with the problem in "Universal Platform for Developing Sustainable Earth Vision Cooperatively: Global Citizens Envisioning the Future Together" - www.ModelEarth.Org/seed.html .
Thank you sincerely -
