LabelGMOs ~ Sonoma County Signature Gathering Has Begun

LabelGMOs signature gathering began Friday (2-17-2012). Yesterday, we collected 1000 signatures! The goal for Sonoma county is 10,000 signatures by the April 22, 2012 deadline ~ only 9 short weeks away.

Our team feels we can do BETTER...

BUT we need YOUR help, especially from WEST COUNTY LabelGMOs trained volunteers. There are 40 of you, but very few have committed to tabling time slots. We may not even be able to table at Sunday's farmers market due to lack of volunteers. Please CALL Karen, the west county coordinator (you know her number or have her email) and sign up now.

WE DID IT!!! LabelGMOs.org announced tonight AMAZING volunteer efforts have garnered 850,000+ signatures to ensure we will be on the ballot in November. GO California!

Now the hard work begins ~ educating CA voters to truly understand the DANGERS of growing / eating GMO/GE crops ~ and NOT to be FOOLED by the well funded opposition, who are planning to scare voters into thinking this will raise the cost of food.

The FDA already requires labeling for over 3000 ingredients. Companies are changing and updating their labels all the time. It's par for the course.

Please VOLUNTEER to help us with Phase Two: Educating your neighbors, co-workers, family, friends and strangers on why GMOS / GE foods must be banned globally, starting right here in California.
