CBS News video: Pet photographer's ambitious adoption photos - Photographer Theresa Berg has started to work on changing the grim images of animal adoption photos into something that a possible pet owner can't refuse. Steve Hartman reports.
Re: Any Pet Photographers who want to make a difference for shelter animals?
I'd definitely have to agree with her assessment of the situation regarding photos produced by most shelters. Unfortunately, most shelters work on the "pity factor" of making the animals seem sad and trapped, tugging on the heartstrings of potential clients.
I believe that images like these:

would portray the animals in a more positive, well-adjusted, adoptable way. Perhaps I'm wrong. These are shots taken for a fundraising calendar I produced for the Sebastopol Dog Park.
I'm willing to offer my services to legitimate animal rescue organizations.

I remember seeing this. They found that when the pictures were changed to be more professional and showed more about how wonderful the animals were, most of the dogs got adopted very quickly. Very cool.
