1) Bike Lanes
An exciting bike lane feasibility study report will be presented to the Sebastopol City Council on February 1st. The proposal includes new bike lanes!!! However some of these new bike lanes require minor on-street parking loss. If you really want to see a bike-friendly Sebastopol, come to the meeting and show support for bike lanes and balance any pro-parking, pro-status-quo opposition. Proper bike lanes make the roads and sidewalks safer for all.
2) Pedestrian and Bicycle Citizens Advisory Committee
The City of Sebastopol is also considering forming a city-sanctioned Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee. This committee will serve to strengthen communication among the people working toward improved access and safety for walking and biking. PLUS, it will help ensure all new city developments are pedestrian and bike friendly. Again, show your support by attending the February 1st City Council meeting, writing to the council, and/or sending a neighbor to represent you.
How you Can HELP even more!
Bring your walking sticks, strollers, bike helmets and wheel chairs!
Talk with your neighbors! Many people cannot attend evening meetings but would love to be represented. Consider making a sign demonstrating the number of neighbors you represent.
Email your comments to Bike/Walk Sebastopol at

Let’s make Sebastopol and easy town to walk and bike around!!!
