Loving black lab free to a loving home
Hello,
I found a large black lab with no collar on Dec.31 on Green Valley Road near Maddocks Road. I have posted a craigslist ad, and placed a description of him with the Humane Society and Sonoma County Animal Shelter. At this point I am trying to find him a good home. He is a wonderful, sweet, and loving dog full of life. He seems like he's not a day over 2, though his teeth are in poor condition.
I have named him Duncan, and he already responds to this. He needs a lot of love and attention, and just a little bit of training (i.e. begging for human food). He loves to play fetch. He doesn't chew on things he's not supposed to chew on or tear up the house when I leave. He seems to get along fine with other dogs, as he gets along well with mine. He would be a wonderful dog for someone who wants to give him the time. He aims to please. He is neutered.
I went to drop him off at the Animal Shelter and couldn't bring myself to do it - I know he'd be miserable there. Please help me find a home for this loving animal, I can't keep him much longer.
Thank you

Duncan's a handsome boy -- fine example of his good breed -- bless you for caring for him
Suggestion: perhaps you should see if one of the local veterinarians (or Humane Society off Hwy. 12) will scan him for a microchip?

Hi,
This is Gus, my family's black lab of 7 years. We lost him New Years Eve on Dec.31 near Bones Road/Green Valley Road/Maddocks Road. I have checked the Sonoma shelter for DOAs, viewed their black labs, distributed fliers, and I just got a call from a local neighbor about your posting. Please give me a call at 707-823-8368 and I can pick him up.
Thank you,
Chris
