I am a mster potter with 45 years of experience producing high temp. productin ceramics.
I have a huge quantity of materials tools
available for free come and get them or they go to the dump
Art books, instruction and reference in many art forms.
ready to participate,or give away to the right lucky source..
happy Armageddon!
I have been out of production for 15years due to the loss of my home pottery in Marin
and it is a great honor to have found a community that is helping me get back in the flow of creativity in the arts.
pottery will not be something i am setting up currently.
Is there an interest in this?
My e mail is the best way to respond to this query

Re: Hi temperature CERAMICS co-op begining in Sebastopol
sounds fantastic. I can't help with the set up, but if you need novice potters (it has been a really long time) to join in co-op, I would love to be a part of it. N

Re: Hi temperature CERAMICS co-op begining in Sebastopol
Hi This is Terry Ann, I'm interested in being part of this. I have lots of ceramics experience. I took all the ceramics courses at SRJC years ago and was a teachers aid there too. I also have been doing ceramics since high school so I've got lots of experience through out my life too. I own a small electric kiln that is at a friends house now. I do my work from time to time through the open studio at Spreckles Community Center but it's been a while and would love something near by Occidental. Also I own The Flying Turtle in Occidental and I sell locally made creations on consignment giving everyone 60% of there sales.

Re: Hi temperature CERAMICS co-op begining in Sebastopol
This sounds fabulous I have been looking for a place to throw and fire with others in the community. I used to work at a commercial pottery studio and have some experience working with kilns, and have some throwing experience but more hand-building, but am definitely interested in the wheel! Would love to help out installing the kiln is it going on now?

The new Ceramics studio is absolutely gorgeous … plenty of good equipment and a wonderful lightfilled room in which to work. Shiny new facility for our community of artists.

Hi, I am an artist and new to the area. I've wanted for years to explore the ceramics medium - especially hand building. Will the new co-op be offering beginner classes? I hope so!

Re: Hi temperature CERAMICS Equipment in Sebastopol
At this point I have all the equipment for high temp reduction fired Kilns and Pottery leaning on the brink of going to the DUMP
someone may want to consider a rescue effort for this pile I cannot handle it myself High temp fire brick was$ 4 a piece in 98 they run about 6 or 7 dollars EACH now. Alt. commune folks did not value this project.
several small kilns offered FREE to anyone who intends to build them ,all kinds of parts and direction pictures and drawings are here CERAMIC INSTRUCTION BOOKS a huge library of these and other art books .
not interested in distributing firebrick to people who want to build a patio or to line their barbecues
I will keep it ,move it and use if for that myself if it comes to that.
