In some ways, listening to Zach reminds me of the words from a William Carlos Williams poem: "Asphodel, That Greeny Flower." He wrote, "It is difficult to get the news from poems, but people die miserably every day from lack of what is found there." Zach talks about how many viruses exist in all viromes: in air, water, earth viromes around us... literally astronomical numbers. Viromes are communication mechanisms that help optimize health of ecosystems. In isolation - as in the current war on virus - we are introducing disorganization of ecosystems! He discusses why virus took hold in Hubei province in China, northern Italy, et cetera.. mainly because of how toxic the environs were. What we are on the verge of realizing is so disruptive to what has been and is being done - he compares it w/Pythagorus 500 BC understanding the earth is not flat - yet it took centuries to accept that and that the earth was not center of solar system. Not until 16th century Copernicus and 17th century Galileo did ideas gain traction (AND we still have flat-earthers!)
Discusses herd immunity versus herd updates, and more, in part II; for example 85% of kids who get measles have been vaccinated against measles. There is no vaccine-delivered herd immunity; the kids have antibodies and still got the measles virus. Antibodies have very little to do with the genomic balance or updates Nature provides. Legislation from 'Reagan' precludes any real information about vaccine efficacy! All you have to show is antibody production - it does not have to reduce number of cases of any disease. He gives the example of chickenpox - kids w/vaccine kill herpes virus causing chickenpox and don't get the genetic updates, so the risk is further disease in the child because they do not get genetic updates. This is what we see; the more vaccines a child receives, the more dysfunction in the immune system of those children. He gave example of military and flu vaccine... who by not getting natural virome updates - not only are susceptible to certain flus and other respiratory infections, but autoimmune disease, cancer, and the rest. Mentions briefly about mistakes we have made @ Germ Theory and war against same; AND what we need to start doing in order to prevent our own extinction. Discusses the PCR test - a fallacious bit of info that leads to more fallacy @ need for a vaccine... How blood tests of virome in several thousand people both in US and Europe, who test negative for any and all diseases that can be transmitted via blood - blood bank tests are gold standard, - they found 6% of viruses like HIV, Hep C, were in the blood. Talks about difference between HIV and AIDS... The more talk went on it seemed to interviewer Patrick that it would take a scientific revolution to get things right, as we are clearly moving 'enthusiastically' in wrong direction. Zach said if we wait for that - we will be extinct in 8 years... we are 40% down the track of the 6th extinction on planet. Science is a process to explore knowledge, it does not produce knowledge. There is no hallowed database of all the truths we know. Science does NOT produce the world; it gives a process for better understanding of the world. We don't have time to change science, education, institutions, funding, etc. WHY is Dr. Fauci, CDC, WHO preaching the old model when the new understanding has been out for 20 years. Zach talks about what needs to happen NOW starting @ 26 minutes. We are in THE MOMENT of a REVOLUTION OF PHILOSOPHY not of Science. Consciousness arises from collective intelligence of life on earth. The virome is telling us something of the Intelligence of Nature/Consciousness is all around us - literally - and after each of 5th earlier extinctions, life has come back w/more variety, more vitality, more abundant life than before -- due to Virome. We have to align ourselves w/Nature, realize we humans are not the apex of life on earth, we can participate w/Life around us and co-create a better life for all species on planet. Drawing on ONE NIGHT when Zach was an ICU Resident on-call and resuscitated / brought back to life - 3 very different patients in those 36 hours.. (which inspired him to go on and work in Hospice), Zach talks about our nearing extinction.. and what CAN BE LEARNED and EXPERIENCED... so there is a different trajectory...
