Amazing photo of the year- if you love animals as much as I
It was considered the best photo of this century. A lioness and her cub were crossing the savannah but the heat was excessive and the cub was in great difficulty walking. An elephant realized that the cub would die and carried him in his trunk to a pool of water walking beside his mother and we call them wild animals. It's a great lesson for mankind who are fighting and dying for no reason.

Absolutely stunning! Aren't lions generally a threat to child elephants? Are you sure this wasn't a photoshoped picture? How could the photographer have happened to be there at this particular moment? And not disrupted the scene?

This is true. What we see with our eyes can reach our hearts, even if it's photoshopped art.
Any art can touch us deeply and truly, as this has.

Even though this picture was not real, I have seen some neat pictures and videos of animals and never am surprised at what they do as sentient beings. I believe their hearts are much purer than ours.

Dear WACCO Community, This photo was sent to me by a warm-hearted peace activist and animal lover, whom I trust implicitly and who would never knowingly have sent a photo-shopped picture without mentioning that it was. Unknowingly? Yes, of course, apparently we both did. I am beyond grateful for the WACCO response by so many of you - what, for me, felt embarrassing instead became a testimony to the sensitivity and caring of this particular tribe. Thank you so much for your loving and thoughtful words. xoxo to Wacco!
