Vaughn's Candidate Statement
Vaughn R. Higginbotham
For the past five years, I have owned and operated a small electronic repair business in Sebastopol. As an entrepreneur, I feel that adding more local businesses will benefit our city and create revenue by providing an alternative to driving to Santa Rosa for the 40,000 West Sonoma County residents.
I am running for Sebastopol City Council in order to find innovative ways to increase city revenue, attract locally owned businesses, ease traffic and parking issues, and boost town pride.
As a volunteer firefighter, my service to others comes before everything else. Through this experience, I have learned how to advance policies that benefit and heighten our sense of community.
As a graduate of our local schools, I will continue advancing Sebastopol’s education system to encourage younger families to become a part of our community.
For six generations my family has lived in Sebastopol. What we cherish the most about living here is our sense and our small town charm.
If elected, I will listen attentively, engage in careful deliberation, and support policy that retains Sebastopol’s character.
Thanks for considering my candidacy. Sebastopol and all of her citizens are my top priority. It is my honor to serve you.
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
We'd be delighted to have you! Thank you for stepping forward.
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
You sound wonderful, Vaughn, and wise beyond your years. You have my whole-hearted support. And six generations--wow!!
Much Aloha, Lilith Rogers

Here's Vaughn campaign handout. Please excuse the stains that are on my copy.

Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
Hrm.
https://vaughnselectronicsrepair.com/ is broken
The store is a residential address.
Open 5 years... no reviews?
Is this a real business, or just for show?
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
Wow. I just tried to go to the address and access is denied. Not lookin' good....
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
You do realize that this site is down for construction. It doesn't look good when people come to conculsions about things before posting them around the internet. Do your homework.

Frankly... I thought I was.
Or do you call not checking if he has a legit business due diligence?
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
I personally thought what Vaughn was sharing and most important, what he wants to accomplish for our wonderful community far out shadowed his address... you go Vaughn.... Baba
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
Some further homework done....
The Wayback Machine shows no past websites at vaughnselectronicsrepair.com, and it being a 302 failed web address back at two dates in 2017 and in August of 2018.
Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
https://www.vaughn2018.com is up and running. Looks Good!

Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
Vaughn actually volunteers for Bodega Fire. Pic #1 he supplied to me when I asked if he responded out there. It shows the house badly burned up. Pic #2 was the pic on Nixle from when it first happened, house just starting to burn.
I asked him if he went out there, he said yes and gave me that second pic, the one after the fire was out. And I said it looks like a total loss.

Re: Vaughn was busy today
It doesn't look like the damage to the patrol vehicle will buff out...

Re: Vaughn's Candidate Statement
I think that's what's called a Home Business; Do you have a problem with that?

I can vouch that Vaughn's Electronic Repair helped me replace the hard drive of my iMac. Fast and efficient service. He's a joy to work with. He even videotaped the entire process.
He will make a great city councilman--honest, hardworking, and has an uncanny ability to 'think outside the box.'
Re: Vaughn was busy today
Who gets to pick up the tab for this fiasco?
And why did the deputy engage in a dangerous high-speed car chase instead of calling for help from other law enforcement agencies and a helicopter? More and more cop-shops are banning high-speed car chases because of the danger to bystanders and collateral damage like this one. Maybe the Sonoma County Sheriff Department needs to do the same.
