Obama speech in Soweto plus
don't know whether you've listened to Obama's moving, quite magnificent speech in Soweto?! I was thinking how much I miss him --and then saw this piece by Max Boot reprinted in the Press Dem Sunday. Peace, Marcia

Here he is, Obama, at his very best, this speech in Soweto, honoring Mandela at the 16th annual lecture. (I caught the last hour of it on C-Span). He addresses so much of the trouble we're experiencing in the US and in the world, never naming names, always classy, elegant, dignified --replete with humor, humanity -- both eloquent and colloquial. Deeply spiritual! A call to love one another. Relates "Madiba's" legacy, its relevance today. Vision for the future and a call to participate, contribute.
