This is not in the least bit reasonable. The SRJC dental program lives in an alternate reality. Pay $50 to commit yourself to spending 4 times 3.5 hours there, which is about 12 hours. You should be paying people if you expect them to give 12 hours of their time.

The appointments are a time commitment and not suitable for everyone. The services we provide are thorough and affordable compared to a private practice especially when a person does not have dental insurance. Many people have appreciated the services as well as helping students gain experience and meet their requirements.

I am one of the many people who have appreciated these services for over a decade. These advanced students clean very well and deeply, supervised by their teachers. I plan to return each year and appreciate the JC Clinic for educating their students so well and offering this service to the community.

I agree, and have used this service in the past. I've also used the dental clinic in SF, when more extensive work was needed.
When we don't have money to pay for these kinds of services, we can expect to pay with time. I'm thankful to have this service available, and am reminded that not everyone has the privilege of getting their teeth cleaned without paying $100 or more.
Toothless smiles are common in other countries.

Phone: (707) 303-3395
It is located on Dutton Avenue, just a bit north of College Avenue, on the East side.
It is best not to call, but instead walk in to inquire in person. "Sliding scale" means you fill out a form and they figure charges based on your monthly income. A teeth cleaning will likely be $75 or less if you fall in their "low income" range. Full dental services available, up to but excluding oral surgery. If someone does require an oral surgeon they make referrals.
Yes I've been to the UCSF dental clinic as well, and if it wasn't for the distance would be a good option.
